Kermesse à Touaourou

Jeudi 5 mai fin de journée

C’est la kermesse à la mission, la dame du gîte me recommande d’y aller. Alors j’y vais !

Les hommes jouent à la pétanque dans un coin, les garçons jouent au foot et les femmes et les filles font un loto géant, elles sont assises par terre sur des nattes ; cela fait un grand patchwork coloré.

Et là c’est rigolo car je rencontre la dame qui tenait la boutique du Centre Jean Marie Tjibaou à Nouméa ; elle est venue visiter sa mère qui vit dans le sud.

Je participe au loto, assise à côté de Yékou la maman ; nous rigolons mais ne gagnons pas…

It’s the carnival in the mission, the lady of the holiday cottage recommends me to go there. Then I go there!

The men play the petanque in a corner, the boys play soccer and the women and the girls make a huge bingo, they sit on the ground on mats; it makes a big colored patchwork.

And there it’s funny because I meet the lady who was in the shop of the Jean Marie Tjibaou Center Nouméa; she came to visit her mother which lives in the South.

I participate in the bingo, sit next to Yékou the mom; we laugh but do not win …

Sur la route, au point de vue de Yaté, je croise deux australiens Jason et Carey en balade dans le sud. Ils sont tout contents d’avoir une après midi de repos. A la pause repas je les croise de nouveau entrain de siroter leurs bières ! Nous papotons, d’Australie, de Nouvelle Zélande

On the road, in the point of view of Yaté, I meet two Australian guys Jason and Carey having a walk in the South. They are quite satisfied to have one afternoon of rest. In the meal break I meet them again spirit to sip their beers! We chat, of Australia, New Zealand

Avec ma petite C1 flambant propre, je pars en direction du sud.

Objectif : village de Yaté qui se trouve à une centaine de kilomètres de Nouméa ; mais il faut plusieurs heures de route « assez mauvaise »

Mauvaise route mais beaux paysages, d’une terre rouge.

With my small brand clean C1, I leave in the direction of the South.

Objective: village of Yaté which is in hundred kilometers of Nouméa; but are needed several hours of "rather bad" road

Bad road but beautiful landscapes, of a red ground.

Je rencontre les parents de Stéphanie mon ancienne collègue de la formation SG. J’avais rencontrée sa tatie à Papeete.

Je n’ai pas encore le selfie parents…  Ça va venir… héhéhé...

I meet the parents of Stéphanie my former colleague of the training in SG. I had met her auntie in Papeete.

I still have no parents’ selfie …  That is going to come… hey hey hey ..

En raison du week-end prolongé (Ascension) j’ai du mal à trouver une voiture, ils m’aident dans ma recherche et grâce à eux j’ai enfin la voiture pour mon escapade prochaine ! 

Because of the long weekend (Ascension Day) I have difficulty in finding a car, they help me in my search and thanks to them I have finally the car for my next escapade!

J’accompagne Marie Claude (la maman) et Jean Marie (le papa) dans leurs occupations quotidiennes. La vraie vie ! Et en passant je photographie ça !

I accompany Marie Claude ( the mom) and Jean Marie the dad) in their daily activities. The real life! And in passing I photograph that!
