7^th call in Harrington Harbour after 6 hours 45 of crossing during the night!

C’est le village appelé « Sainte Marie La Mauderne » dans le film « La Grande Séduction »

It’s the called village « Saint Marie La Mauderne » in the movie « Seducting Doctor Lewis »

Nous avons 3 heures pour le visiter, et c’est possible d’y aller à pied !

We have 3 hours to visit it, and it’s possible to go on foot there!

C’est vraiment un très beau village, aux maisons en bois coloré de vives couleurs, très gai, avec des pontons en bois et sans voiture.

It’s really a very beautiful village, in wooden houses colored with deep colors, very cheerful, with wooden pontoons and without car.

Ce village a même la réputation d’être un des plus beaux villages du Québec ! Et il ne vole pas sa réputation !

C’est agréable de s’y promener.

This village has even the reputation to be one of more beautiful villages of Quebec! And it doesn’t steal its reputation!

Rythme très tranquille, au fil de l’eau.

Le bateau avance à environ 25 nœuds, nous avons la chance d’avoir une mer très calme depuis le départ de Rimouski. Un temps merveilleux avec un beau soleil qui illumine les paysages marins et côtiers !

Very quiet rhythm, with the stream.

The boat moves forward to approximately 25 knots, we are lucky enough to have a very calm sea since the departure of Rimouski. A wonderful weather with a beautiful sun which illuminates seascapes and coastal!

 

Notre temps est rythmé par les étapes, bien sûr, mais aussi par les repas aux horaires « pas très français ».

Par exemple le déjeuner, appelé ici le dîner est entre 11 h 30 et 13 h 30.

Le dîner, appelé ici le souper est entre 17 h et 18 h 30 ! Très tôt…

Our time is given rhythm by the stages, of course, but also by the meals in the « not very French » schedules.

For example the lunch, called here the dinner is between 11:30am and 1:30pm.

The dinner, called here the supper is between 5 pm and 6:30 pm! Very early …

J’ai l’impression de manger tout le temps !

Nous essayons de voir des baleines ou autres animaux marins ; nous regardons des petits films sur tous les villages où le bateau s’arrête.

We try to see whales or other marine animals; we look at small movies about all the villages where the boat stops.

 

Nous faisons un exercice de sécurité, ça me rappelle ceux que je faisais au boulot !
We make a safety drill, that reminds me those whom I made for the job!

 

Je lis un livre d’une auteure québécoise Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette qui a obtenu les « Prix des Libraires » pour son roman « La femme qui fuit ».

Très intéressante histoire vraie d’une femme (sa grand-mère) qui traverse le siècle avec frénésie et indépendance !

I read a book of an author from Quebec Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette which obtained the « Prize of the Booksellers » for her novel «  La femme qui fuit» (« The woman who avoids »).

Very interesting true story of a woman (her grandmother) who crosses the century with frenzy and independence!

Wednesday in the night, September 28^th

6^ème escale à La Romaine après 2 h 30 de traversée !

6^th call in Kagaska after 2 hours 30 of crossing!

Nous arrivons à 22 h 15 et en repartons à 1 h du matin !

J’avoue avoir la flemme de sortir voir ce qui se passe.

D’autant que le quai ici est très étroit et si nous sortons, nous devons attendre la fin du fret pour réembarquer…

Je n’ai pas trop envie d’attendre 2h sur le quai en pleine nuit !

Le village de La Romaine est trop loin pour y aller à pieds.

Donc je zappe cette étape à l’aller !

We arrive at 10:15 pm and leave it at 1 o'clock in the morning!

I admit to can not be motivated to go out to see what takes place.

Especially as the quay here is very narrow and if we go out, we have to wait for the end of the freight to reembark …

I don’t feel so much like waiting 2 hours on the quay in the middle of the night!

The village of La Romaine is too far to go on foot there.

So I give this stage a miss!
