Ballade nocturne ! Nocturnal ballad!

Houhai by night

 

Ballad with Christian a French colleague came to Beijing to deliver trainings computing tool. We walked around the Houhai lakes. The temperature is very cold (around 0° and less…) and I was not enough covered up so quickly my feet were frozen… We stay nevertheless approximately 45 minutes to visit this pleasant place and that does good to get some fresh air.

And I have still cracked on the fondant in the chocolate to damn it!

 

Houhai la nuit

 

Promenade avec Christian un collègue français venu à Pékin pour faire des formations outils informatiques. Nous avons marché autour des Lacs de Houhai. La température est très froide (autour de 0° et moins…) et je n’étais pas assez couverte alors rapidement mes pieds étaient gelés… Nous sommes quand même restés environ 45 minutes à visiter cet endroit agréable et ça fait du bien de s’aérer.

Puis dîner toujours aussi bien au Café de la Poste. Et j’ai encore craqué sur le fondant au chocolat… à se damner !

I discuss a long time with my English teacher after my lesson

It’s near 9pm and I am always at work

 

On Sunday after my English course, my teacher invited me to discover a magnificent Korean restaurant the specialty of which is the barbecue

 

 

J’ai discutée longtemps avec mon prof d’anglais après mon cours.

Il est près de 21 h et je suis encore au boulot.

 

Dimanche après mon cours d’anglais, mon prof m’a invitée à découvrir un superbe restaurant coréen dont la spécialité est le barbecue

 

Sapin de Noël Christmas tree

My beautiful Christmas tree…

 

Yesterday I did not find a Christmas tree. There was a lot of artificial. Some "real" Christmas trees were enormous and not very beautiful!

As a result I bought a vase and some flowers of decoration, and the bamboo.

 

 

 

For the Christmas tree, with Patricia, we continue searches…

Mon beau sapin… 

Hier je n’ai pas trouvé de sapin. Il y avait beaucoup de faux. Les quelques « vrais » sapins étaient énormes et pas très beaux !

Du coup j’ai acheté un vase et quelques fleurs de décoration, et du bambou.

 

Pour le sapin, avec Patricia, nous continuons les recherches…

Dimanche en ville. On Sunday in city

To the program today:

 

-       Buy a Christmas tree. I have to meet Patricia and Yannick, we shall go together to the Flower Market. I hope that I could find one!

-       At 5:30 am I have my English lesson.

-       And after that my teacher takes me to discover a Korean restaurant where we can eat a good barbecue.

 

I hope that everything will take place as expected …

 

 

Au programme aujourd’hui :

 

-       Acheter un sapin de noël. J’ai rendez-vous avec Patricia et Yannick, nous irons ensemble au Marché aux Fleurs. J’espère que je pourrais en trouver un !

-       A 5 h 30 j’ai mon cours d’anglais.

-       Et  après ça mon prof m’emmène découvrir un restaurant Coréen où nous pourrons manger un bon barbecue.

 

J’espère que tout se passera comme prévu…

 

Samedi ! Saturday!

It is the weekend.

 

Which Happiness, because I really need to have a rest.

Yesterday evening, even if I was worned out I discovered a new French restaurant: « Le Gourmet » who didn’t steal his name!

I was with Rodolphe and we really very well ate.

The decor is pleasant, spacious and comfortable. There is a piano and we were entitled, at the moment, to a short concert improvised with a pianist virtuoso (a French customer) who played a furious music piece half and half jazz and rock. That made you well want to dance but unfortunately it is not Rodolphe's speciality!

 

After 3 days without Internet at the house, this weekend I am going to try to make up my leeway in the reading and the answering of my emails. Internet seems to want to work, even if that remains very slow! Let's hope that it lasts …

 

C’est le week-end.

 

Quel Bonheur, car j’ai vraiment besoin de me reposer.

Hier soir, même si j’étais crevée j’ai découvert un nouveau restaurant français : « Le Gourmet » qui n’a pas volé son nom !

J’étais avec Rodolphe et nous avons vraiment très bien mangé.

Le cadre est agréable, spacieux, confortable. Il y a un piano et nous avons eu droit, à un moment, à un court concert improvisé avec un pianiste virtuose (un client français) qui a joué un morceau endiablé de musique mi jazz mi rock. Ça donnait bien envie de danser mais malheureusement ce n’est pas la spécialité de Rodolphe !

 

Après 3 jours sans Internet à la maison, ce week-end je vais essayer de rattraper mon retard dans la lecture et réponse de mes emails. Internet semble vouloir fonctionner, même si ça reste très lent ! Pourvu que ça dure…
