Special note for Dorothée

Native of South America, as the cinnamon apple and the custard apple (or ox heart or cor bovinum ? I don’t know which one of these words is the good one for this fruit!), the soursop distinguishes itself from it easily by its size and its shape, often that of a big green heart covered with small flexible spines.

Its very creamy flesh spends as calming the anxious, chasing away the fears and getting a repair sleep; it can taste raw or in the form of sherbet, which it perfumes delicately. The green, brilliant skin, darkens very fast in maturity. The fruit preserves then little time.

Leaves and green fruits have astringent properties, what confers them medicinal virtues. The soft flavor of the soursop is understandable by contents important in sugars.

Petite montée d’environ 45 minutes à 1 heure pour avoir une très vue sur la baie ; et cela par une belle matinée ensoleillée…

Et nous avons bien fait d’y aller le matin car l’après midi il pleuvait encore…

Promenade à Tahaa

Lundi 25 avril

Nous partons à l’île de Tahaa sur le bateau de Flo et son mari.

Baignade dans un lieu magique « le jardin de corail » où nous avons pu voir des coraux magnifiques et des poissons multicolores (mais je n’ai pas de photo…). J’en ai pris plein les mirettes !

Baignade dans le lagon redevenu bleu !

Déjeuner sur un motu de sable blanc

Walk to Tahaa - Monday, April 25^th

We leave to the island of Tahaa on Flo's boat and her husband.

Swimming in a magic place " the garden of coral " where we were able to see magnificent corals and multicolored fishes (but I have no photo). I am dazzled!

Swimming in the lagoon become again blue!

Have lunch on a motu of white sand

 

La vanille de Tahaa

L’île de Tahaa est spécialisée dans la culture de la vanille.

Nous visitons une petite exploitation où tout le processus nous est bien expliqué de la production jusqu’à la vente.

La liane de vanille entortillée sur des arbustes ; la fleur qui est polonisée à la main par l’homme ; la récolte, le séchage ; le conditionnement ; la transformation ; la vente.

The island of Tahaa is specialized in the culture of the vanilla.

We visit a small exploitation where all the process is explained well to us of the production until the sale.

The liana of vanilla twist around on shrubs; the flower which is polinated in the hand by the man; the harvest, the drying; the packaging; the transformation; the sale.
