The mountain at the bottom represents a pregnant lengthened woman (that reminds me the island of Huahine in Polynesia!). It’s the Mount Sonder

Puis arrêt à Glen Helen Gorge où coule la rivière Finke qui est souvent décrite comme la rivière la plus vieille du monde. Elle a suivi le même cours général pendant environ 100 millions d'années.

Then stop to Glen Helen Gorge where flows the river Finke which is often described as the world’s oldest river. It has been following the same general course for about 100 million years.

 

Baignade dans une eau glacée, à Ellery Creek Big Hole, sous les applaudissements des autres personnes du groupe qui n’ont pas osé y aller !

Dip in an ice water, to Ellery Creek Big Hole, under the applauses of the other people of the group who did not dare to go there!

Big discovery day of the surroundings of Alice Springs in Mac Donnell big mountain range in the beautiful colors ochre orange.

We are in the outback, it’s wild.

De nombreux stops égayent la journée.

Of numerous stops brighten up the day.

Petite marche à Standley Chasm avec ses eucalyptus majestueux, qui se termine au bout du chemin entre deux falaises abruptes !

La nature est créatrice !

 

Elle façonne les troncs d’arbre (je vois une tête de cochon et une tête de crocodile et vous ?)

Small walking to Standley Chasm with its majestic eucalyptus, which ends at the end of the way between two abrupt cliffs! 

The nature is creative!

It shapes tree trunks (I see pig's head and head of crocodile, and you?)

Ochre Pits, roches où les aborigènes pendant des milliers d’années prélevaient les couleurs nécessaires à leur quotidien, à leurs cérémonies, à leur médecine (mélangé aux feuilles d’eucalyptus pour le mal de tête et les coup de froid). 

Par exemple le rouge était utilisé pour les cérémonies d’initiation des garçons.

Ochre Pits, rocks where the aborigines during thousands of years took colors necessary for their everyday life, for their ceremonies, for their medicine (Mixed in the leaves of eucalyptus for the headache and cold snap)

For example the red was used for the ceremonies of initiation of the boys.

Les hommes étaient chargés de creuser et récupérer les ocres et
s’assurer que les femmes en disposent suffisamment pour préparer les cérémonies.

The men were in charge of digging and of getting back ochre and of making sure that the women have it enough to prepare ceremonies.

Arrêt à Ghost Gum Walk : en bas petite rivière à l’ombre des eucalyptus, en haut grandes falaises, vue sur Ormiston Gorge.

Stop to Ghost Gum Walk: below small river in the shade of eucalyptus, at the top big cliffs, view on Ormiston Gorge.

C’est dommage que je ne comprenais rien à ce qu’il disait parce qu’il a expliqué plein de trucs sur les fleurs et sur la culture aborigène.

It’s a pity I caanot understand what I said, because I explained a lot of things about flowers and Aboriginal culture.

La grosse boule verte c'est du spinifex et c'est très piquant !
