Le bout du bout ! L’extrême pointe nord de l’Australie !
Nous atterrissons à Horn Island dans le Détroit de Torres.

The end of the end! The extreme North point of Australia!
We land to Horn Island in the Torres Strait.
Pendant la 2ème Guerre Mondiale, l’île a servi de base et était très active. Il y a des ruines de tranchées, de bunkers.
During the 2nd World War, the island served as base and was very active. There are ruins of trenches, bunkers.
Il y a aussi un musée hétéroclite, un peu vieillot mais très intéressant quand même !
There is also a heterogeneous, a little bit old-fashioned but very interesting museum all the same!

Rencontre sur le bateau
Mardi 7 juin J’ai bien papoté, en français, avec Johanne, réunionnaise qui vit en Australie depuis 5 ans. Elle m’a donné des tuyaux pour mon séjour.
Et puis Kate, une chinoise de Hong Kong qui vit à Sydney depuis un an, elle était là avec son compagnon.
C’était bien sympathique !

I chatted well, in French, with Johanne, inhabitant of Réunion who lives in Australia for 5 years. She gave me some advice for my stay.
And then Kate, a Chinese of Hong-Kong which lives in Sydney for one year, she was with her companion there.
C’était bien sympathique !
