We leave Lugu Lake at 10am

The bus is rather old with not a lot place between seats.

Hardly 45 minutes after the departure, the 1^st stop because of works.

The road in very bad state is going to be built.

That promises! Nobody can pass in 2 directions.

We wait 1:15 h…

Nous quittons Lugu Lake le matin à 10 h

Le bus est plutôt vieux avec pas beaucoup de place entre les sièges.

A peine 45 mn après le départ, 1^er arrêt pour cause de travaux.

La route en très mauvais état est en construction.

Ça promet !  Personne ne peut passer dans les 2 sens.

Nous attendons 1 h15 …

2 hours later, a new stop!

This time it is the wheel which has problems. The driver begins the repair but he has no good tools. Another driver coming the other way around gives a hand to him but unsuccessfully.

We are all scattered on the road looking for a shade place

 

2 heures après, un nouveau stop !

Cette fois c'est la roue qui a des problèmes. Le chauffeur commence la réparation mais il n'a pas les bons outils. Un autre chauffeur venant en sens inverse lui donne un coup de main mais sans succès.

Nous sommes tous éparpillés sur la route cherchant un coin d'ombre.

I find Ozlem who is playing billiards in front of a house with a young person of the place. A dozen kids, all are boys between 5 and 18 years looks at them.

Then we go to another house to ask for some warm water for our tea. In this place there are girls. During this time our driver is try to repair his wheel …

The bus left at 12 am of Lugu Lake overtaken us!

Je trouve Ozlem entrain de jouer au billard devant une maison avec un jeune du coin. Une douzaine de gamins, tous garçons entre 5 et 18 ans les regardent.

Puis nous allons dans une autre maison demander de l'eau chaude pour notre thé. Là il y a des filles. Pendant ce temps notre chauffeur s'acharne sur sa roue…

Le bus partis à 12h de Lugu Lake nous a doublés !

 

At 4pm, we are fed up to turn circle and we decide to go to walk by the roadside. We ask to the driver to pick us in the passage.

On the way we cross people surprised seeing 2 foreigners walking there!

We discuss, make photos, we stop us and eat the walnuts that we had had the good idea to buy from the village, because since the breakfast we took nothing and are ravenous!

Motorists slow down or stop amazed and ready to help us.

A 4 heure de l’après midi, nous en avons marre de tourner en rond et nous décidons d'aller marcher au bord de la route. Nous demandons au chauffeur de nous récupérer au passage.

En route nous croisons des gens surpris de voir 2 étrangères marcher là !

Nous discutons, faisons des photos, nous nous arrêtons pour manger les noix que nous avions eu la bonne idée d’acheter au village, car depuis le petit déjeuner nous n’avons rien pris et avons les crocs !

Des automobilistes ralentissent ou s'arrêtent étonnés et prêts à nous aider.

At about 5 pm, one of the young Chinese people with whom we had discussed in the bus phones us and announces us: him and the others are trying to find a car to leave, with us if we want, and thus suggests us returning.

The driver is still waiting for tools to repair! 

 Vers 5 h, un des jeunes chinois avec lequel on avait discuté dans le bus nous téléphone et nous annonce : lui et d'autres sont entrain d'essayer de trouver une voiture pour partir, avec nous si nous voulons, et nous propose donc de revenir

Le chauffeur attend toujours des outils pour réparer ! 

Of course that we want!

We decide to turn back but in one hour we walked 4 km.

We make of stop to return. The 1^st car which stops is full. In the 2^nd the driver and his companion seem so amazed that they cannot understand in what we ask them. The explanations are always very long here! The young Chinese explains to them to the telephone. In the car the grandpa near of the driver looks at us with a blissful and amazed smile.

We arrive at the bus at about 5:30 pm the driver bustles with the lad who brought tools.

But no car!

Bien  sur que nous voulons !

Nous décidons de rebrousser chemin mais l'air de rien en 1 h nous avons fait 4 km.

Nous faisons du stop pour retourner. La 1^ere voiture qui s'arrête est pleine. Dans la 2^ème le chauffeur et son compagnon semblent tellement étonnés qu'ils ne comprennent rien à ce que nous leur demandons. Les explications sont toujours très longues ici!  Le jeune chinois leur explique au téléphone. Dans la voiture le papy à coté du chauffeur nous regarde avec un sourire béat et étonné.

Nous arrivons au bus vers 5h30 le chauffeur s'active avec le gars qui a amené les outils.

Mais pas de voiture !

People of the place bring back with them herds, cows, goats, the driver gets excited on his wheel…

 

Les gens du coin rentrent avec leurs troupeaux, vaches, chèvres, le chauffeur s'énerve sur sa roue…

The air is so pure here we can see the stars in the sky it's so different than Beijing!

 But I don’t have any starry sky photos…

 We leave LUGU LAKE where we really had spent a pleasant time

Ici l’air est si pur que nous pouvons voir les étoiles et c’est très différent de Pékin !

Mais je n’ai pas de photos du ciel étoilé…

été 2010 Invitation

Later when we arrived to our hotel, hungry and thirsty the owner invited us in the mother's room of the house and offered us tea, very tasty handmade cakes, roast maze and potatoes in the fire raise. We stay with them by the fire and Ozlem was able to improve her Chinese a lot. So kind people  

Plus tard quand nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel, affamées et assoiffées la propriétaire nous a invitées dans la pièce principale (celle de la mère) de la maison et nous a offert du thé, des gâteaux faits à la main très savoureux, du maïs et des pommes de terre cuits au feu de bois. Nous restons avec eux près du feu et Ozlem a pu bien améliorer son chinois en parlant beaucoup. Les gens ici sont si gentils

In the city there is a big square place with around rooms in open air where we can eat some grilled fish and kebab meat, vegetables and so on. We met Chinese people eating, singing, clinking glasses and dancing.

Dans la ville il y a une grande place carrée avec autour des espaces ouverts où nous pouvons manger du poisson grillé et la viande de kebab, des légumes etc. nous avons rencontré un groupe de chinois qui mangeaient là et buvaient, et trinquaient et dansaient.

They invited us to join them, we sang and danced all in heart and especially laughed well!

Ils nous ont invité à nous joindre à eux et nous avons chanté et dansé tous en cœur et surtout bien rigolé

été 2010 Bains chauds

The son of the family drove us to a hot spring at only 20 km away, but it lasts one and half hour because of the bad road.

The landscapes here are wonderful.

We cross villages with houses built in mixed ground and straw some of them in wood and brick (Zha She). There are peasants here.

A long part of the road is made by ground, then of cobblestone, and on a part we drive directly in the river! It's very wild.

 

Le fils de la famille nous a conduits à une source chaude à seulement 20 km de distance, mais cela a duré 1 heure et demie de route à cause de la route en mauvais état.

 

Les paysages ici sont merveilleux.

Nous traversons des villages avec des maisons construites en terre mélangée à la paille, certaines d'entre elles sont en bois et brique (Zha Elle). Il y a des paysans ici.

Une longue partie de la route est faite de terre, puis de pavés ronds, et sur une partie nous conduisons directement dans la rivière ! C'est très sauvage.

The guy told us there is a plan to build an airport in 2 years so probably Lugu Lake will be less quiet.

Le type nous a dit qu'il y a un projet de construire un aéroport dans 2 ans donc probablement Lugu Lac sera moins calme.

 

  

We cross a typical small town You Ning with no tourist shop…

Nous traversons une petite ville typique You Ning sans magasin touristique …

 

In the hot spring village (Mosuo name is Agua and Chinese name is Wen Chuan) there are 2 bathes. We had a look at both. We don’t like the oldest too much ruined.

The new one where we went has a collective basin share in two parts one for women one for men, just separated by an enormous wooden beam,. It's open air so it is very pleasant.

When we ask to go to the collective bath the owner is surprised and refuses by saying to us "lao bai xin" what wants to say "common people" what in his eyes we are not!

Dans le village de sources chaudes (le nom Mosuo est Agua et le nom chinois est Wen Chuan) il y a 2 bains. Nous jetons un œil aux deux et nous  n'aimons pas le plus vieux trop délabré.

Le nouveau où nous sommes allés dispose d’un bassin collectif partagé en deux parties une pour des femmes et une pour les hommes, et séparé juste par une énorme poutre en bois. C'est en plein air donc c'est très agréable.

Quand nous demandons d’aller dans le bain collectif le propriétaire est surpris et refuse en nous disant « lao bai xin » ce qui veut dire « gens ordinaires » ce qu’à ses yeux nous ne sommes pas ! 

The local people come here to take your bath; they use a lot of soap so the water is too soapy. There are private rooms with bath smaller and cleaner.

We began by the common and finish by the private. No massage just hot bath this water is good for the skin.

 

La population locale vient ici pour prendre le bain; ils utilisent beaucoup de savon donc l'eau est un peu trop savonneuse. Il y a des espaces privés avec un bassin plus petit et plus propre.

Nous avons commencé par le commun et fini par le privé. Aucun massage ici, juste les bains chauds.

L’eau est bonne pour la peau.

We are then welcomed in a famous Mosuo singer writers names “Yan Er” and we can visit her family house and dress up and drink local wine and clink glasses, tea eat some local snacks 

Nous sommes ensuite accueillies dans la maison Mosuo d'une fameuse chanteuse locale. On nous offre des fruits sec et la liqueur de bon accueil et là aussi il faut trinquer. On peut se déguiser en habit local.
