Journée orga

Mercredi 24 février

Repos le matin, intendance avec lavage (et oui même en Australie le linge se salit !!) et réservation des nuits prochaines et des tours excursions dans la nature. Autant en ville je me débrouille autant dans la nature je ne me sens pas d’y aller seule …

Je sors pour déjeuner et comme l’après midi est pluvieuse je ne traîne pas dehors ! En passant arrêt chez un vendeur d’huîtres, j’en mange seulement 3 car il est 16h30 et je n’ai pas vraiment faim, c’est juste pour le plaisir. C’est des huîtres de Bruny Island elles sont succulentes. Tant mieux j’y vais demain ! 

Organisation day - Wednesday, February 24th

Rest in the morning, estate management with wash (even in Australia the linen gets dirty!!) and reservation of the next nights and the tours excursions in the nature. So much in town I manage so much iestn the nature I don’t feel to go alone there.

I go out to have lunch and how afternoon is rainy I be not lying about outside! In passing stop at a shop of oysters, I eat only 3 because it is 4:30pm and I’m not really hungry, it is just for the pleasure. It’s oysters of Bruny Island they are delicious. So much the better I go there tomorrow!

Dîner en ville avec Adele et Arturo un sympathique couple italien du groupe. Fish and chip et verre de Riesling

Have a dinner in town with Adele and Arturo a nice Italian couple of the group. Fish and chip and glass of Riesling

 

Belles couleurs rosées... Nice pink colour...

Cascade

 

Mardi 23 février après midi

 

Après le magnifique Mont Wellington nous redescendons pour aller à la Cascade Brewery. Enfin c’est ce que je croyais car en fait de cascade il s’agit d’une brasserie dont le nom est Cascade ! Comme je ne bois pas de bière je ne connais pas spécialement les marques locales ! Je rigole de mon ignorance J J 

 

Petit concours pour remplir les verres, le mieux et le plus vite possible… je suis en finale… mais dans la dernière ligne droite, je suis coiffée au poteau par un australien grand et costaud

Visite de l’usine à bière, c’est ennuyeux car je ne comprends rien aux explications de la guide (de Sydney) qui parle d’un ton monocorde et trop vite…

Heureusement après nous avons la dégustation : 4 jetons pour 4 boissons, bière ou cidre.

Je choisis 2 cidres et 2 bières. Je teste une nouvelle fois de la bière mais vraiment je n’aime pas ça, le cidre passe bien. Ici il est plus alcoolisé que la bière. Nous rigolons bien, je trinque avec George notre guide

 

Cascade - On Tuesday, February 23rd afternoon

 

After the magnificent Mount Wellington we come down again to go to the Cascade Brewery. Finally it’s what I believed because by way of cascade it’s about a brewery the name of which is Cascade! How I don’t drink beer I don’t know specially the local brands! I laugh about my ignorance J J 

 

Small competition to fill glasses, best and as quickly as possible I’m in finale but in the final straight, I am pipped at the post by Australian one big and sturdy.

 

Visit of the beer factory, it’s boring because I understand nothing in the explanations of guide (of Sydney) who speaks about a monotonous tone and too fast …

Fortunately after we have the tasting: 4 tokens for 4 drinks, beer or cider. I choose 2 ciders and 2 beers. I test again some beer but really I don’t like that, the cider goes well. Here it’s more alcoholized than the beer. We laugh well, I drink with George our guide

Jardin botanique

4^ème jour de mon tour de découverte de la côte Est, même si nous sommes déjà dans le sud !

La veille, petit dîner local avec huîtres et grosses crevettes de Tasmanie et un bien sûr un ptit verre de blanc de Tasmanie aussi

Botanical garden - Tuesday, February 23rd

4th day of my tour of discovery of the East coast, even if we are already in the South!

The day before, I had a local dinner with oysters and big shrimps of Tasmania and of course a glass of white wine of Tasmania also

 

Donc visite « rapide » du jardin botanique. Trop rapide pour bien en profiter ! Mignon petit jardin japonais. Grand potager avec plein de légumes et d’herbes aromatiques ; ça donnait envie de faire la cueillette !

 

 

So "fast" visit of the botanical garden. Too fast to take advantage of it well! Cute small Japanese garden. Big kitchen garden with a lot of vegetables and of aromatic herbs; that tempted to make the picking!

Grottes de Tasmanie

 

La Tasmanie a plus de 300 grottes. Trois sont ouvertes au public dont la Hasting Cave, visitée de ce jour

Nous descendons dans les entrailles de la terre australienne…
