    Jeudi 24 mars

Promenade dans la Parc National du Mont Cook

    IMG_0820.jpgIMG_0839.jpg

Walk in National park of the Mount Cook

Moody weather when we start the walk, but we go all the same on the Hooker Bluff path

Landscapes in grey tints but for all that very beautiful; behind clouds hides the Mount Cook.

    IMG_0852.jpgIMG_0867.jpg

    Brave walkers

    IMG_0833.jpg

    IMG_0886.jpg

Gradually the weather becomes better and the sun shows its beams!

We follow the lake Pukaki glittering under the sun; its blue pale waters give to the landscape a particular brightness.

    IMG_0916.jpg

And we end the day to the SPA of the place, magnificent!

    IMG_0788.jpg

    On quitte Christchurch

Wednesday, March 23rd - We leave Christchurch

    IMG_0786.jpgIMG_0797.jpg

The lake Tekapo reveals its beautiful blue colors grey owed to sediments of the glaciers.

    IMG_0804.jpg

We climb a very stiff coast with a height difference of 300 meters to have a beautiful view; then descent on the banks of the lake. 3 hours of very pleasant walking.

  • Christchurch journée découverte

    Mardi 22 mars

    IMG_0584.jpgIMG_0585.jpg

    IMG_0701.jpgIMG_0739.jpg

Christchurch bare day - Tuesday, March 22nd

    IMG_0593.jpg

Small visit in the French alliance of Christchurch, just behind my hotel!

Then I find the French group with which I am going to go hiking during 3 weeks. Picnic in a magnificent park then a stroll in the rather attractive botanical garden also.

    IMG_0598.jpg

Christchurch is a surprising city, quite in works further to the earthquake of 2010 which ravaged the city center.

That gives it a particular air with its multicolored fences, its construction sites, its big machines, its houses partially destroyed, his cathedral in renovation, his shops in containers …

    IMG_0751.jpgIMG_0752.jpg

Elle renaît doucement… It is slowly reborn …
