  • Lac Argyle

    C’est le plus grand lac d’Australie. Nous avons fait une petite croisière et vu à peine 10 % ! Baignade au milieu du lac, et sur les berges quelques crocos (il paraît que les crocs d’eau douce ne sont pas agressifs !).

    Joli coucher du soleil sur les eaux moirées !

    It’s the biggest lake of Australia. We made a small cruise and a saw hardly 10 %! Swimming in the middle of the lake, and on banks some crocodiles (it seems that fresh water’s crocodiles are IMG_1861.jpgnot aggressive!).

  • Bungle Bungle, encore un peu…

    C’est tellement beau je ne résiste pas et j’en mets encore quelques photos

    Les Dômes : Ces tours arrondies en grès sont géantes et fragiles, chacune emballée dans une fine et protectrice peau de bandes oranges d'oxyde de fer et de bandes grises à noires dues aux bactéries.

    IMG_1471.jpgUne peau est déposée sur la surface par l'eau suintant au travers du grès. Si la couverture de peau est endommagée le grès est rapidement érodé.

    IMG_1557.jpgThe Domes: These rounded, sandstone towers are fragile, giants, each encased in a thin, protective skin of orange bands of iron oxide and grey to black bands of cyanobacteria.

    A skin is deposited on the surface by water seeping through the sandstone. If the banded skin is damaged the sandstone is rapidly eroded away.

    C'était le 26 juin, dans un hélicoptère, sans porte ! Au début je n’en menait pas large…

    Je n’osais pas bouger, puis le magnifique spectacle m’a fait dépasser ma crainte !

    Grandiose !

    I didn’t dare to move, then the magnificent show made me exceed my fear!

    C'était le 25 juin dans le Kimberley, El Questro un lieu magique. 3 heures de marche et d’escalade avec traversée du torrent parfois de façon "acrobatique'.
