My daughter offered me a Chinese writer’s book Yu Hua "Brothers".

Story of 2 men, children during the Cultural Revolution, they reach the adulthood when China enters the tempestuous era of the "reforms" and of the “opening”.

Through this couple of "false brothers" it is near half a century of Chinese history which passes.

The "loser" and the "winner" summarize to them only a transition lived by millions of Chinese in the fever and the confusion.

I look forward to beginning the reading …

Ma fille  m’a offert un livre d’un écrivain chinois Yu Hua « Brothers ».

Histoire de 2 hommes, enfants pendant la Révolution culturelle, ils atteignent l’âge adulte au moment où la Chine entre dans l’ère tumultueuse des « réformes » et de « l’ouverture ».

A travers ce couple de « faux frères » c’est près d’un demi-siècle d’histoire chinoise qui défile.

Le « loser » et le « gagnant » résument à eux seuls une transition vécue par des millions de Chinois dans la fièvre et le désarroi.

J’ai hâte de commencer la lecture…

Course à Issy. Race to Issy

Christmas race…

 

Every year for 33 years (I believe) in December there is a Santa Claus’ race in the Issy’s street

The runners disguise and the Santa Claus suit is in the place of honour.

 

The tradition was respected this year and the brave runners faced the cold and the snow. Evelyn and Eliette my friends were with them.

 

For my part, I only saw and took photos with them

Then we met us at home where my sister joined us for a lunch.

 

It was the 1^st on the table brought from China with a pretty tablecloth bought in the Yunnan!

 

Course de Noël…

 

Chaque année depuis 33 ans (je crois) en décembre il y a la course des Pères Noël dans les rues d’Issy.

Les coureurs se déguisent, et le costume du Père Noël est à l’honneur.

 

Cette année la tradition a été respectée et les courageux coureurs ont affronté le froid et la neige. Mes amies Evelyne et Eliette faisaient parties de ceux-là.

 

Pour ma part je me suis contentée de regarder et de faire quelques photos…

 

Nous nous sommes retrouvées ensuite à la maison où ma sœur nous a rejoint pour un déjeuner.

 

C’était le 1^er sur la table ramenée de Chine avec une belle nappe achetée dans le Yunnan !
