The funeral’s wait
When we arrive at about 8 am there is nobody. Lou San explains us that the dead man is in the temple with the monks.
Four-five other informed tourists of the event also arrive (3 Americans and 2 Chinese)
Quand nous arrivons vers 8 h il n’y a personne. Lou San nous explique que le mort est au temple avec les moines. Quatre à cinq autres touristes au courant de l’évènement arrivent aussi (3 américains et 2 chinois)
Then a car and two motorcycles of Tibetans arrive They stay by away from us; make a fire to warm a big pot of water for the tea. Puis une voiture et deux motos de tibétains arrivent Ils se mettent un peu à l’écart. Font un feu pour chauffer une grosse marmite d’eau pour le thé.
Then begin the expectation Ozlem and I are going to see them to ask them if our presence doesn’t disturb them. They agree so that we stayed and attended the funeral It is rather funny because every group observes the other one by far! Then Tibetans approach us and seem intrigued by hairs in the calves of one of the Americans. The men compare their legs, then the arm, it is rather funny! Photos are taken
Puis commence l’attente Ozlem et moi allons les voir pour leur demander si notre présence ne les dérange pas. Ils sont d’accord pour que nous restions et assistions à l’enterrement C’est assez marrant car chaque groupe observe l’autre de loin ! Puis les tibétains s’approchent de nous et semblent intrigués par les poils aux mollets d’un des américains. Les hommes comparent leurs jambes, puis leur bras, c’est plutôt drôle ! Des photos sont faites

The fact that Ozlem speaks about Chinese facilitates largely the contact. Lou San as Tibetan cannot stay.
Puis les tibétains nous invitent à nous asseoir avec eux autour du feu. Nous y restons tous un moment, à nous réchauffer, à discuter et boire du thé Le fait qu’Ozlem parle chinois facilite grandement le contact. Lou San en tant que tibétain n’est pas resté.
